High School is tough. The academic pressure, the cliques, all during an age when we are also coming of age. Now add on the prospect of being homeless and the basics of getting to school on time with the supplies needed to succeed can be too much to handle.
That’s why this school season we are working with YouthCare to get their community some basic school supplies. This means you can clear your office or bag room at the same time you are making an impact in our community.

We partner directly with innovators who transform hard-to-recycle materials into new products—so you can see exactly where your items go and what they become.
YouthCare was founded in 1974 as one of the first shelters to serve runaway and homeless youth on the West Coast. While they have grown their impact since then, the mission has remained to end youth homelessness and to ensure that young people are valued for who they are and empowered to achieve their potential.
Each young person arrives at YouthCare with a unique story and set of circumstances. Through a combination of individualized services tailored to young people’s needs and a trusting relationship with a caring adult, YouthCare ensures that young people experiencing homelessness achieve long-term stability. In 2018, YouthCare expanded to 13 sites across Seattle, serving over 1,200 young people every year.
